OUR MISSION
The Michael Westley Foundation is dedicated to ending police brutality, racial profiling, mass incarceration, and systemic injustice. We are committed to creating real change through legislative action, community empowerment, and youth development.
Our work addresses critical issues like food insecurity and housing instability, while providing opportunities for growth, education, and a better future. By uniting our efforts, raising awareness, and supporting our communities, we honor the life of Michael Westley and all those unjustly taken.
Together, we can build safer, stronger communities where every life is valued.

The Story Behind The Michael Westley Foundation
Michael Westley was a bright, spirited 15-year-old boy whose life was unjustly taken by the Chicago Police Department on June 16, 2013 — just two weeks shy of his 16th birthday. His death is part of a long, painful history of corruption within the Chicago Police Department — a system that for decades has been marked by cover-ups, injustice, and the silencing of truth to protect those in power.
